1.  I believe my writing strength is being descriptive in what I am writing about. Although my weaknesses are sometimes to jump from one topic to another.

2.  I do enjoy reading, I just do not always make the time or have the motivation to pick up a book and read. Mysteries and books with drama interest me most.

3.  One goal I have for the semester is to develop my writing skills, and learn to have more flow through my papers. I could also use help working on using better grammar.

In my reading for this week I learned about photo essays and how they convey the central argument through pictures. This helps to apply to our literacy narrative in class because we also have to use photographs or some type of visual aid to represent a literacy moment in our lives.

In a broader topic, I learned about designing visual arguments. I found there are many ways to do so including, op-ads, photo essays, websites, or montages. In this class we are allowed to choose from any of those options to do our project. I think this will help people to get a better idea of all the options out there.

In a review some of the components that are required are a balance of summary and comentary about their opinion of the review. The summary must not provide too much information about the topic they are reviewing. The reviewer must be aware of their audience and to not give away key factors of the movie, because the people reading the review have not seen in yet. The reviewer needs to provide examples that will provide facts for the reader.
